My DIY Winter Wardrobe Plans & My New Wood Watch!

This post is sponsored by JORD wood watches. They sent me my watch for free but all opinions and thoughts are my own.

As I mentioned in my last post, one of my goals for 2017 is to make more of my own clothes. I have a huge fabric stash that is just waiting to be converted into beautiful things. My goal is to make 3-4 items per season this winter I want to make a new coat, a cozy turtleneck sweater, a bodysuit and a blouse.

I’ve picked out all my fabrics and I’m super excited because check out how awesome they look with my new JORD watch!

The camel coloured wool is for my new coat and the lining is a flannel backed satin in olive green. I plan on using a pattern from an old copy of BurdaSyle magazine.

For the bodysuit I’ll use the charcoal jersey spandex in my photo and the Nettie pattern from Closet Case Files. I love the idea of wearing a low back bodysuit with a full circle skirt.

I don’t really have a plan for the turtleneck yet, but I’m totally using this photo as my inspiration (for my coat also).

And that gorgeous plaid on the top of the pile? Hopefully it will become an Aster blouse (Photo and pattern from Seamwork).

Oh and my new watch? The folks at JORD were kind enough to send it to me and I’m in love.

You know I love woodworking and building stuff so a watch made of wood is perfect for me! It’s the Frankie 35 series in Zebrawood and Champagne. They also have a ton of other styles and colours but this one is perfect fit on my small wrist. It even comes in a beautiful wooden box.

The colour and pattern of the zebrawood is totally my style. Conveniently it happens to looks great with the sweater I started last year that is ALMOST done! Their men’s watches  are also beautiful – I have my eye on one I would love to give Chris (who happens to love watches).
